Witness Appeal Following Burglary at Tadcaster Town Bowling Club |

Police are appealing for information following a burglary at Tadcaster Town Bowling Club on St Joseph's Street, Tadcaster.
The incident occurred sometime between Friday 24 July 2026, when the clubhouse was left secure, and Sunday 26 July 2026, when it was discovered that an unknown person or persons had forced entry to the premises via a fire escape door.
Once inside, the offender(s) appear to have searched the clubhouse. Furniture had been moved from its usual position, the contents of the premises had been disturbed, and access had been gained to items within the clubroom.
Tadcaster Town Bowling Club is a valued community facility and has unfortunately experienced several incidents involving youths entering the grounds and causing nuisance since April 2026.
Officers have carried out house-to-house enquiries in the area and Crime Scene Investigators have attended the scene to examine several items of interest.
Police are now appealing to anyone who was in the area of St Joseph's Street, Tadcaster, between 24 and 26 July 2026, and who saw any suspicious activity, individuals, or vehicles near the bowling club, to come forward.
